After a convincing win in the cup in midweek Arsenal will be in high spirits for the visit of West Brom this Saturday in the Premier League. An away trip to Arsenal isn’t easy for any side with most coming away with their backsides well and truly smacked so West Brom will have to be well organised this weekend if they are to get anything out of the game.
When they go forward West Brom are capable of scoring goals and they like to attack but that approach against Arsenal at the Emirates has often proved to be many clubs downfall in the past. West Brom will have to be very well organised and not allow Arsenal to play their regular free flowing game if they are to be successful this weekend.
So far this season Arsenal have scored sixteen goals in just three games at home while West Brom have managed just two goals away from home this season and both of those were in the Carling Cup. If those stats are anything to go by then an Arsenal whitewash could well be on the cards but West Brom will be determined not to be left red-faced this Saturday.
Last week Arsenal conceded a late goal to only manage a draw with Sunderland. It is those sort of lapses in concentration that have cost Arsenal in recent times and Arsene Wenger will expect his side eradicate any such lapses for this match with West Brom.
Arsenal will be without their star man Cesc Fabregas after he suffered an injury during last weeks draw. While that is good news for West Brom fans, with the amount of midfield talent that Arsenal have available to them, his absence may go unnoticed. In midweek his absence wasn’t felt against Spurs as Arsenal came out as triumphant 4-1 winners.
At home you always have to fancy Arsenal to win and i suspect this will be case against West Brom once again this Saturday. Having scored ten goals at home in their last two games confidence is through the roof at the Emirates and i fancy Arsenal to beat West Brom quite comfortably.
