The final of the UEFA Champions League will see Barcelona play Manchester United at Wembley Stadium, England May 28, 20:45 GMT. Barcelona won an ill-tempered semi-final against their Spanish rivals Real Madrid while Manchester United were easy winners over Schalke.
Barcelona entered the knock-out to play Arsenal in the pre-quarter-final game. They lost their home game 2-1 but went on to rout Arsenal at home, 3-1 to enter the quarters. There, they were easy winners over Shahktar before the foul-mouthed game against the Real Madrid side.
Barcelona have won the title twice before this.
Manchester United drew with Marseille away before winning the home game 2-1 to face Chelsea in the quarter-final. It was a one-sided quarter-final in that Chelsea lost both the games for the Manchester United to enter the semi-finals. Schalke, the German side, were bundled out 2-0 and 4-1 to allow Manchester United attempt their fourth win in the tournament.
Interestingly, Barcelona beat Manchester United in the final of the 2009 edition of the Champions League.
