Watch Arsenal vs Liverpool

What: Arsenal vs. Liverpool in a showdown.

Where: at Arsenal in Emirates Stadium.

When: Saturday, August 20th at 7:30 a.m. ET.

Watch: Live Streaming on ESPN3.com.

Overview: This is a big match for being just the second week of Premier League play.

Both of these clubs are looking to right the ship after disappointment in their opening matches. A victory in this game will go a long way towards erasing the bad openers.

The Reds battled to a draw against Sunderland at home against Sunderland. The Gunners had the same outcome with a draw against Newcastle.

Neither team looked particularly solid, but it was the opener. I expect both of these talented squads to come back with a superior effort in this contest. And any time these two clubs meet it makes for a must watch match.

What's Worth Watching

Arsenal: The Gunners are trying to adjust to playing without departed teammates Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas. Gervinho was brought in to help fill their void, and he had a disappointing debut to say the least.

Gervinho was sent of for slapping Joey Barton in the opener. He can not afford any such mental lapses in this one. He needs to stay on the pitch and contribute if Arsenal is going to be the team they want to be.

Liverpool: The Reds have to get their defense going. It was not in the opener as it was not able to withstand the pressure of Sunderland.

New signee Jose Enrique was solid, but he is still adjusting to his new teammates. John Flanagan was the weak link in the opener.

He is going to have to pickup his play, or he will be replaced.

Key Injuries

Arsenal: Johan Djourou, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshire and Abou Diaby will all be out.

Liverpool: Steven Gerrard is out. Glen Johnson, Martin Skrtel, Fabio Aurelilo are all doubtful.

Biggest Storyline: The Reds brought in Andy Carroll this offseason with big expectations. He did not meet those expectations in the opener, but you have to believe he will improve as he gets comfortable in his new surroundings.

I expect to see him flash a little more of his physical presence and aerial highlights in this one.

Probable Starting 11

Arsenal: 4-2-3-1 Sczsesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Jenkinson, Frimpong, Ramsey, Walcott, Rosicky, Arshavin, Van Persie

Liverpool: 4-4-2 Reina, Kelly, Carragher, Agger, Jose Enique, Lucas, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Suarez, Carroll

Prediction: I expect both clubs to put forth a much better effort in this one. However, Liverpool looks closer to putting together a solid performance than Arsenal.

Liverpool wins 3-2
