Aston Villa vs Wolves
Aston Villa welcome Wolves in a vital game for both the teams who are struggling to pull away from the relegation zone with just nine games remaining in the season.
Though Villa are currently positioned 13th in the league table, they are just two points away from the drop zone. While teams below them have shown improvement in form, Villa have managed just one win from their last five games and are in real danger of being relegated should they fail to improve on their dismal form very soon.
Wolves will be looking to take advantage of the poor run of form by securing three vital points that could see them climb out of the relegation zone. Manager Mick McCarthy will be feeling that a place in the relegation zone gives a false impression of his team who have lost just once in their last five games.
Wolves put in another excellent performance in their last match to hold Tottenham to a thrilling 3-3 draw. Roman Pavlyuchenko had given Spurs the lead early in the second half after Jermain Defoe and Kevin Davis both scored a brace for their respective sides only for Steven Fletcher to grab a dramatic equalizer late in the game.
Wolves have failed to beat Aston Villa in their last 17 meetings between the two sides and suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat early in the season.
