Wolves will be aiming to continue their giant-killing run when they travel to Arsenal this weekend.
Wolves ended Manchester United’s unbeaten run this season after beating them 2-1 last weekend. Nani had given United the lead early on in what appeared to be a familiar script, but goals from George Elokobi and Kevin Doyle gave Wolves a great win. Manager Mick McCarthy was delighted to have scripted a grand win, but refused to get carried away as he feels more work needs to be done to ensure premier league survival. Wolves have already beaten Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City this season.
Meanwhile Arsenal let go of a 4-0 lead to settle for a 4-4 draw against Newcastle in a dramatic game last weekend. Goals from Theo Walcott, Johan Djourou and a Robin van Persie brace had given the Gunners a 4-0 lead, but two penalty goals from Joey Barton and a goal each from Leon Best and Cheik Tiote scripted an amazing come back for the Magpies. Manager Arsene Wenger put down the draw to panic among his ranks, but will be wary of a repeat this weekend as well.
