Manchester United will be keen to get back to winning ways when they take on Manchester City in what promises to be an electric derby day this weekend.
The Red Devils slipped to their maiden loss this season when they lost 2-1 to bottom club Wolves last weekend. United took the lead early on through Nani, but goals from George Elokobi and Kevin Doyle gave Wolves a great win. Manager Sir Alex Ferguson was disappointed with the loss and will be very keen to avoid a similar fate against arch-rivals City. Rio Ferdinand misses out the derby date with a calf injury.
Meanwhile Manchester City beat West Brom 3-0 thanks to a hat-trick from skipper Carlos Tevez to maintain their title challenge. The win means City are 6 points behind United, but have played one game more than the latter. Manager Roberto Mancini believes City have the firepower to beat United and in Tevez and Dzeko, they indeed possess a formidable strike force. Micah Richards, Mario Balotelli and Adam Johnson miss out with injuries, but Yaya Toure could be available for this one.
