Arsenal will be searching for their fourth straight league win when they welcome struggling Birmingham City in their next Premier League match on Saturday.

The Gunners have put behind a disappointing start to the season and have got their title challenge back on track with three wins in their last three matches. Arsenal turned up the style against Blackburn Rovers last weekend to register a thumping 6-2 win over Sam Allardyce's side to move just one point behind fourth placed Manchester City.

Rovers had twice taken the lead through Steven Nzonzi and David Dunn but Arsenal pulled level both times through Thomas Vermaelen and Robin Van Persie. Andrei Arshavin then put Gunners in front eight minutes before the half time whistle while goals from Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner helped Arsenal secure a comfortable win. Manager Arsene Wenger will be hopeful that his side can maintain this sort of form for the rest of the season with the board increasing the pressure after claiming that they want to win a trophy this year.

There should be no problems for Arsenal against a Birmingham City side that has lost four of its last five matches. While his side have managed to get off to a decent start, manager Alex McLeish will be aware that his players will have to step up a gear if they are to avoid a relegation scrap come the end of the season.

Carson Yeung officially completed his takeover last week and with funds being promised in the January transfer window, McLeish will now be assessing his squad as he attempts to avoid getting sucked into another relegation battle
