Blackpool will be fancying their chances of claiming a high profile scalp in their debut Premier League campaign when they take on Liverpool in their next match on Sunday

The Tangerines have been impressive so far this season with the club currently sitting 15th in the league table. While Blackpool were predicted to be the whipping boys in the league, Ian Holloway’s side are increasingly looking like a side that is likely to stay for sometime in the Premier League with Blackpool having beaten Wigan and Newcastle United while they were just minutes away from claiming a well deserved point against Blackburn last weekend.

Liverpool on the other hand are struggling to replicate their European form in the domestic campaign. The Reds have won all of their five games in the Europa League but have managed to win just once in the Premier League this season to sit very close to the relegation zone.

While Roy Hodgson’s side are expected to climb up the league table sooner rather than later, the Liverpool boss will be worried that unless his side starts to win games on a consistent basis, the Reds will finish outside the top four for a second season running.

Liverpool have no major concerns with Fabio Aurelio expected to return back to action while Alex Baptiste is the only major injury concern for Blackpool
