France will be looking to build on their 2-0 win over Bosnia last month when they lock horns against Romania at Stade de France this weekend.

France were shocked 1-0 by Belarus in their opening qualifier at the Stade de France but coach Laurent Blanc managed to bring back some measure of control by overseeing a 2-0 away win at Bosnia four days later. Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Chelsea’s Florent Malouda netted for Les Bleus in Sarajevo.

Blanc has recalled Yoann Gourcuff and Samir Nasri to the national squad but there is no place for Gourcuff’s club mate Jeremy Toulalan. St.Etienne’s Dimitri Payet has been rewarded for his outstanding league form with a maiden call up to the side.

Romania drew both their Euro 2012 qualifiers last month. The first against Albania ended in a 1-1 scoreline, while the second against Belarus in Minsk ended in a goalless stalemate. Romania are currently fifth in the group with 2 points, while France are in third position with 3.

Will Les Bleus be able to make up for last month’s disappointing loss against Belarus by beating Romania?
