Blackburn will be hoping to register their third win of the season when they welcome Sunderland on Monday night.

The Rovers are placed 13th on the league table with 8 points from seven games played so far. Manager Sam Allardyce was furious after his side lost 1-0 to Stoke prior to the break and said the defence needs to shape up quickly. David Dunn continues to be absent with a hamstring injury, but Keith Andrews and Jason Roberts could return for this game.

Manager Steve Bruce will be aware that his team needs to buck up and win games against mid-table teams if they are to avoid getting dragged to the bottom of the table. Fraizer Campbell and David Meyler remain long -term absentees with knee injuries, but Anton Ferdinand could return for this game.
