Blackburn will be hoping to collect all three points when they travel to Bolton for their next league game this Sunday.
The Rovers recovered from a 7-1 mauling at Manchester United last fortnight after winning 3-0 against Wolves last week. Goals from David Dunn, Brett Emerton and Ryan Nelsen helped Blackburn secure a fine win and erase painful memories of the rout at Man United. Manager Sam Allardyce was happy with the result and hoped his side would continue in the same vein. The win took Blackburn to the 11th spot on the league table with 21 points from 16 games played so far.
Meanwhile Bolton slumped to a 1-0 loss to Manchester City thanks to a lone goal from Carlos Tevez. The loss meant Bolton slipped to the sixth spot on the league table with 23 points from 16 games. Manager Owen Coyle would have been disappointed with his side’s showing, but will be confident of taking all three points against Blackburn at home this weekend.
