ewcastle United will be vying for another high profile scalp when they welcome Manchester City in their next premier league match on Boxing Day.
The Magpies have already beaten Arsenal and Liverpool and came very close to snatching all three points against Chelsea early this season. With a new manager in Alan Pardew, fans will be hopeful that their side will show the same hunger and determination that saw them beat Liverpool in their last match.
Newcastle have already tasted defeat to Manchester City early this season though it needed a 75th minute winner by substitute Adam Johnson. Though Newcastle are sitting pretty inside the top half of the table, Pardew will be aware that just a couple of defeats on the trot could pull them into a relegation battle.
Manchester City on the other hand will be looking to put pressure on both Chelsea and Arsenal by climbing to second in the league table. The Citizens are level on points with Arsenal though they have played a game more than their nearest rivals.
