Tottenham will be looking to put behind their controversial defeat to Manchester United from last weekend and get their top four challenge back on track with a victory over Bolton Wanderers on Saturday
Spurs have been inconsistent so far this season and manager Harry Redknapp will be aware that unless his side starts to win games on a consistent basis, their hopes of finishing inside the top four of the table for a second successive season will be over even before the season reaches its halfway point.
Tottenham go into the match on the back of a controversial defeat to Manchester United last weekend. Spurs had gone behind to a Nemaja Vidic header midway through the first half and struggled to create any real chance in the second half. United killed the game off six minutes from the final whistle when Nani prodded home the ball after keeper Heurelho Gomes had placed the ball down thinking that his team had won a freekick for handball.
Meanwhile Bolton will be hoping to take some positives from their narrow defeat to Liverpool from last weekend. Bolton had done well to hold out against the Liverpool attack for most of the match only for Maxi Rodriguez to grab the winner four minutes from the final whistle.
There are doubts whether Ivan Klasnic could be available for Bolton while Rafael Van der Vaart looks to have shrugged off his hamstring injury.
