Liverpool’s mini revival faces its toughest test when they welcome Chelsea in their next Premier League clash on Sunday.
The Reds have been slowly recovering from their disastrous start that saw them slip into the relegation zone. Two wins from their last two games has seen Liverpool climb to 13th in the league table but manager Roy Hodgson will be aware that his side will have to put up their best performance of the season so far if they are to have any hopes of getting something from the game on Sunday.
Chelsea on the other hand will be confident of collecting another three points on Sunday after managing to snatch a victory in spite of being the second best team against Blackburn Rovers last weekend. Benjani had given Blackburn a shock lead in the first half but Nicolas Anelka equalized before Branislav Ivanovic grabbed the winner six minutes from the final whistle.
Chelsea will be hoping to repeat their performance from the last season that saw them complete the double over Liverpool including a 2-0 victory in this fixture. The Blues will welcome back Frank Lampard with the midfielder expected to recover in time for the match this weekend.
However Liverpool could be without Joe Cole with the winger out with a hamstring injury.
