Wolves will be hoping to produce some wins starting with the game against Sunderland this weekend as they look to climb up from the relegation zone.
Wolves were unlucky to lose 2-1 to Blackpool in a massive game last week. The Seasiders won goals from Luke Varney and Marlon Harewood. Kevin Doyle grabbed a late goal for Wolves. However the side appears to have paid a huge penalty in this game as boss Mick McCarthy confirmed that captain Karl Henry is set to miss the next two months with a knee injury.
Meanwhile Sunderland were also unlucky to have to settle for a 2-2 draw against Everton on Monday night. Tim Cahill had given the Toffees a lead in the 6th minute, but a brace from on-loan teenager Danny Welbeck gave the Black Cats a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute, but a late goal from Mikel Arteta meant the teams had to share points. Manager Steve Bruce will be happy with the progress made by his side, but will want them to win close games on a regular basis.
