News: Arsenal will be searching for a 11th straight victory over Wolves when the two teams fight it out in their next Premier League match on Wednesday
The Gunners have won the last 10 games between the two sides with Wolves last managing to collect a point against Arsenal way back in 1982. Arsenal have made a pretty good start to the new season and find themselves second in the league table with 20 points from their first ten games, five points behind league leaders Chelsea.
However Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be keen to make sure that their disappointing defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League last week will not spark blip in form and with Chelsea set to face a couple of difficult encounters against Liverpool, Fulham and Sunderland in the next three games, Wenger will be optimistic that his side can close down the gap at the top of the table.
Meanwhile Wolves manager Mick McCarthy will be keen to repeat the heroics from the game against Manchester City by securing another shock result on Wednesday. Wolves have been disappointing of late and McCarthy will be hopeful that some good performances in the two difficult games against Manchester United and Arsenal will prove to be a turning point of the season.
