News: Manchester City will be hoping to put one over former boss Mark Hughes when they visit Fulham this Sunday.
The Citizens have had a bad few games slipping to 0-0 draws against local rivals Man United during the mid-week and against Birmingham over the weekend. While City continue to remain in the fourth spot of the table, fans are unhappy with the unexciting football being played at Eastlands, thus increasing the pressure on boss Roberto Mancini. Mario Balotelli’s form has been a revelation and Mancini will hope the Italian combines well with skipper Carlos Tevez this week.
Meanwhile Fulham held Newcastle to a 0-0 draw to continue to occupy a mid-table position. The Cottagers have faltered away after a fine start under new boss Mark Hughes, who will be keen to see his team win over City this weekend. For this game, Carlos Salcido remains sidelined with ankle ligament damage, but Chris Braid could be back from a thigh injury.
